Jehovah's Witnesses

They Will NOT Tell You:

 

§        That The Watchtower has consistently and falsely prophesied the end of the world. (1914, 1918, 1925, 1942, and 1975)

 

§        That since their last false prophecy (the end of the world in 1975) more than 1 million Jehovah's Witnesses have left their church.

 

§        That in the 1920's The Watchtower built a palace in San Diego, California which they called Beth Sarim, for Abraham, Isaac and Jacob who they prophesied falsely would return from the dead in 1925.

 

§        That when Abraham, Isaac and Jacob had not returned from the dead The Watchtower president Judge Rutherford moved into the mansion himself.

 

False Prophecies Stated by Jehovah's Witnesses

 

§        1916 - World War I would end in a glorious outcome - Messiah's Kingdom (The Watch Tower reprints, 9/1/16, pg. 5951).

 

§        1920 - Abraham, Isaac and Jacob will be resurrected and living on earth by 1925 (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, pp. 89-90).

 

§        1940 - Armageddon is very near (The Informant, May 1940, pg. 1).

 

§        1941 - Armageddon is surely near (Children, pg. 366).

 

§        1968 - The 1000 year reign of Jesus Christ is to start in the Fall of 1975 (Life Everlasting in the Freedom of the Sons of God, pp. 29-30). (1)

 

Their History

 

CHARLES TAZE RUSSELL (1870-1916)

§        Founded Zion's Watch Tower and Tract Society in 1884.

§        Published Zion 's Watch Tower & Herald of Christ's Presence in 1879.

§        Stated people would go into darkness without the aid of his Studies.

 

JOSEPH FRANKLIN RUTHERFORD (1917-1942)

§        Replaced some of Russell's interpretations of theology with his own.

§        Changed the name of the organization from International Bible Students to Jehovah's Witnesses in July 1931.

 

NATHAN HOMER KNORR (1942-1977)

§        Aided in the production of the Watchtower's own translation of the Bible, which alters Scripture to support false Witness theology.

 

FREDERICK WILLIAM FRANZ (1977-Present)

 

Materials Published by The Watchtower Society

 

§        Watchtower magazine - First edition, in 1879.

 

§        Awake! magazine - This publication carries subjects of current interest which arouses the reader to the Watchtower's viewpoint.

 

§        The New World Translation (Bible) - The Watchtower released, starting in 1950, its own translation of the Bible. This version changes Scripture to support false Witness theology. (See NWT John 1:1 and Colossians 1:16,17.)

 

Major Doctrines of The Jehovah's Witnesses

 

§        Their Church (The Watchtower) is God's only true Church.

§        The Bible can only be understood by Jehovah's Witnesses.

§        Jesus Christ of the Bible is really only a created being known as Michael the Archangel.

§        Jesus is a god (created) but he is not God the Son.

§        Jesus Christ returned invisibly in 1914.

§        Jesus Christ was not put to death on a cross but died on a stake in the ground.

§        There is no such person as the Holy Spirit.

§        Salvation comes only through being a Jehovah's Witness and doing ALL that the Watchtower asks you to do.

§        Only 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses will go to Heaven (no one else).

§        If you should hear their message and not become a Jehovah's Witness then God will destroy you and your children at the coming Armageddon.

§        Deny the Trinity.

§        Deny the Personality of the Holy Spirit.

§        Deny the Deity of Jesus Christ.

§        Deny the Bodily Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

§        Deny the Visible Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

§        Deny eternal torment in Hell.

§        Deny Man's Eternal Soul.

§        Deny a Heavenly Home for All Believers.

§        Rejection of Blood Transfusions (They just changed this within the last couple of years).

§        Rejection of Christmas, Easter, Birthdays and other holidays.
