One of the most criticized miracles in the Bible has to do with the Red Sea crossing by Moses and the children of Israel. The skeptics say that it just could not have happened.
Many times "professors" in liberal seminaries and Bible colleges state that Moses and the Israelites passed over in a swampy area called the "Reed sea" not the Red sea. Of course this is just plain denial of the inspiration and validity of the Holy Scriptures.
In one illustration a liberal professor was denying this event and stated that Moses and the children of Israel passed over in very shallow ankle-deep water in the Reed sea and not the Red sea. One Bible believing student said, "Well, Praise the Lord! That is even a greater miracle." The professor, totally astounded by this verbal outbreak asked, "What do you mean?" Whereas the Bible student said, "Pharaoh and his whole army drowned in ankle-deep water. What a miracle!"
Now of course the Bible CLEARLY STATES that it was the RED SEA and that God parted the waters for them to pass over safely to the other side. Notice the following:
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, . for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. And the LORD said unto Moses, . speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand OVER THE SEA, AND DIVIDE IT: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground THROUGH THE MIDST OF THE SEA. (Exodus 14:13-16)
And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were A WALL UNTO THEM ON THEIR RIGHT HAND, AND ON THEIR LEFT. And the Egyptians pursued, and WENT IN after them to THE MIDST OF THE SEA, even all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen. And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength . and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And THE WATERS RETURNED, AND COVERED THE CHARIOTS, AND THE HORSEMEN, and all the host of Pharaoh . there remained not so much as one of them. But the children of Israel walked upon dry land IN THE MIDST OF THE SEA; and the waters were A WALL unto them on their right hand, and on their left. (Exodus 14:22-29)
So the Bible is VERY CLEAR concerning this event. However, it seems that the makers of the MAPS OF THE EXODUS still have problems with the Biblical account of the Red Sea crossing.
Look at the following seven maps and see for yourself the route portrayed. Nowhere will you find a BIBLICAL ACCOUNT of the Red Sea crossing.

Well, you saw for yourself. We challenge you to look at every resource in your library or Christian bookstore and see if you can find a BIBLICAL account of the Red Sea crossing. Somewhere there might be one, but it will be rare and not in most Bibles, Bible atlases, dictionaries, etc.
The Bible IS TRUE, no matter what the maps indicate.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
(2 Timothy 3:16)
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
(1 Thessalonians 5:21)
