The Army of the Skies

Charles and Ida McCoy

By faith I see an army, 'tis the army of the skies,
They have gone up in the Rapture and at last have won the prize;
They will live throughout the ages praising Christ the mighty King,
'Tis the happy white-robed army of the skies.

By faith I hear them singing over in the Promised Land,
Too, I see them by the angels with their golden harps in hand;
They are singing songs of Moses and the Lamb that once was slain,
'Tis the happy white-robed army of the skies.

Dear Saints be watching, waiting with your lamps all burning bright,
If you would be in the number when our faith is changed to sight;
Bound to be the old-time shouting such as earth has never known,
When we join the white-robed army of the skies.

CHORUS

See them rise, see them rise,
See that mighty blood-washed army of the skies.
See them rise, see them rise,
'Tis the happy white-robed army of the skies.
