GOD IS THE FATHER FIGURE

The Mafia has a “Godfather.” This is a man who is set up or sets himself up as a god and rules over an earthly empire. Gambino, Colombo, Capone and Gotti are good examples of Mafia godfathers.

Christians have God the Father and the Holy Trinity. Someday Jesus Christ will rule over a heavenly kingdom.

(Colossians 2:9) For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

(1 John 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

(James 2:19) Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

As a symbol of respect in the Mafia a person would kiss the hand of the Godfather when they meet him. As a symbol of respect in the Catholic religion a person would kiss the ring on the hand of the Pope when they meet him. (All godfathers are “good” Roman Catholics and the Italian Mafia started in Sicily.)

Christians are admonished to worship the one true God not a man (whether he is dressed in black or white).

(Psalm 2:12) Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

There is no doubt as to the selfishness of the Mafia.

Christians are not to be self centered but to be concerned for others.

Robbery, fraud, hatred, envy, lust, lying, cheating, gambling, fornication, and many others evils are the fruit of the Mafia.

(Matthew 7:20) Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

(Ephesians 5:11-12) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.

(Matthew 25:30) And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Those that go the way of the lost will in up in the Lake of Fire.

(Ephesians 5:11) And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

(1 Thessalonians 5:5) Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

The Mafia is known as a crime family. That is because it is a family organization that runs it.

There are several crime families.

All Christians are in God’s family and will spend eternity with the Lord.

There is only one true family of God.

ASSURANCE

The Mafia practices what is called insurance or the protection racket.

That means they force businesses to pay them so much a week to have “insurance” that is protection from them. Otherwise the business people will end up with a broken arm or maybe their business burnt to the ground. In other words “fraud.”

What terror.

The assurance of the Christian however is based on God never leaving them or forsaking them.

(John 6:37) All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

(Hebrews 13:5) For he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

What a blessing.

THEY LIVE BY A CODE

WE LIVE BY THE GOSPEL

They live by a code called “Omerta.”

This is called the code of silence.

That is they were not to squeal on someone else’s wrongdoing.

(Mark 16:15) And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

We are to tell everyone the good news of the gospel so that they also can have peace and hope.

A main man must kill someone and shed that person’s blood to be a leader in the Mafia.

The Lord shed His blood for us of His own volition that we might have eternal life.

CONTRACT

When a contract if placed on someone then that person is to be killed in the near future by a hit man.

Many times the person to be killed has “friends” that suddenly start staying away from him. They all know what is about to happen.

Many times a person has a contract put out on him because of envy or hatred. They plan to KILL him.

In the same manner a Christian will lose “friends” when others want to KILL (his reputation). Yes, brethren put out a contract on other brethren. Why? Because of hatred, envy or someone wanting what he has.

(Genesis 37:18) And when they (Joseph’s brothers) saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they conspired against him to slay him. Why? (They hated him).

Even Christ was delivered for envy. (Matthew 27:18) For he (Pilate) knew that for envy they had delivered him.

(Galatians 5:15)But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

(1 Peter 4:15) But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

This is usually to someone in the “inner” circle that this happens.

One of the main men will walk up to another and give him “the kiss of death.”

When this is done there is NO hope for that man that was kissed.

Judas did this to Jesus in the garden. (Matthew 26:49) And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

Then they took him and crucified Him.

Yes, Jesus was betrayed by someone in the “inner” circle.
