Ark Ahoy!

For her Junior Church and Bible Club presentations on the "Genesis Flood" Susan made a scale model ark out of cardboard, the only material available and also that would be lightweight enough for transport.

It was an eye-popping experience for the kids when they saw the size of the ark, in scale, compared to people and animals. The lessons took a total of six weeks and were capped off by a creation science video on the flood. The kids especially enjoyed pacing off the actual size of the ark, out on the street in a huge parkway, across from the church. That stretch of road is now referred to by the kids as Noah Boulevard.

In The Beginning God Created

Susan with her Saturday afternoon Bible Club kids at the church after an exciting presentation on the honeybee. She is currently teaching about creation in a unique way to help the children understand that there is an alternative to evolution, which they are taught in school. After the lesson, when asked if the honeybee was created or evolved, the two little boys in the front row (in gold and red shirts) both said, "God made him."

"Who Took This Picture?"

Oh, the heights we rise to in order to get our point across! I can now truly say, with Paul, that ".I am made all things to all men (in this case, my Bible Club kids), that I might by all means save some." Here I am assuming the role of a one-hump dromedary camel in my continuing series on uniquely created animals. (I am happy to report that at the end of the lesson I delivered the hump naturally!)
