October - November, 2001 DEAR PRAYING FRIENDS, FALL HARVEST FESTIVAL During the month of October we held our first Fall Harvest Festival in our village church. The first service we doubled in size. We had a fellowship with food after one service, with 150 in attendance, and a film for the last week of the festival. For the month we saw a total of 45 new visitors, all but three of those were brought by people already attending the church; 54 new children come out for the first time; and, Praise the Lord, 9 people trusted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. FIRST ANNIVERSARY Our village church celebrated its one-year anniversary on November 14th. We had a great time of singing and preaching, and cake for the folks who attended the service. 7 MORE SALVATIONS In addition to those saved during the month of October we saw three more people saved in the church during November; two elderly women saved during door-to-door visitation by our Bible students; and two 14 year-old boys saved after a lesson on Jonah in Junior Church. BIBLE CLUB Beginning in November we started a Bible Club for the lost kids in our neighborhood on Saturdays at the church in town. So far the boys have showed the most interest and have brought new friends out each week. The children hear a Bible story, sing some Bible songs, get a treat or two and take home a short character-building or Bible storybook. Please pray that the Lord will speak to the hearts of these children and that many will trust Christ as their Saviour. STUDIES IN CHARACTER For the saved kids in our town church we have started a character-building class on Sunday nights before the service. We are anxious for these young adults to grow spiritually and to go on and live for God. Please keep these young people in prayer.
